INSPECTOR'S PLEDGE TO KEEP THE COMMUNITY SAFE

Inspector Alan Rhees-Cooper will now head up the Queensbury, Royds and Wibsey Neighbourhood Policing Team. He is delighted to take responsibility for the area. The Inspector said “I have spent a considerable amount of my career in the Bradford District and started up as a patrol officer in Shipley before moving to Bradford to work as a Community Inspector Rhees-CooperConstable for a number of years. I also have experience dealing with robbery, vehicle crime and anti social behaviour, having worked as a Sergeant on a specialised team in Huddersfield and then as a Patrol Inspector. I have also spent four years as a Detective Inspector in a Forcewide role with particular focus of missing person investigations and sexual exploitation. Three years ago, I returned to Bradford working as a Response Inspector and more recently working in a department to improve upon the service we deliver to the public. I have lived in Wibsey for nearly twenty years and have a son, daughter and grand daughter of 9 months who also live locally. Policing the area is personal to me and I know just how important tackling local issues are to the residents. My priorities will be to tackle anti social behaviour, reduce burglary and vehicle crime. Although the next few years may be challenging with reducing police budgets, I am determined to ensure my officers focus on what is important to the local community. We have been very successful recently in arresting and convicting local criminals for robbery, burglary, vehicle crime and drugs. I have an excellent team of officers and I am confident that these successes will continue.
